Although no akin or eye irritation studies were done, v/e know that the liquid Aroclors are good solvents for the normal fats and oils of the akin. Suffi cient akin contact then could lead to drying and chapping. For this reason we recommend that re peated or prolonged skin contaot be avoided.
We do not have inhalation data. Wo do not have breakdown products since these are
relatively stable compounds.
Acuto oral LD50 - Rat - 12,500 mg/kg
Acute okln minimum lethal dose - rabbit -
>794 <1260 mg/kg.
,
A study was made using a 4*1 (w/v) solution in corn
oil applied dally for 20 applications to the
clipped intact skin of rabbits at doaea of 10, 50,
and 100 mg/kg/day.
The 10 mg/kg/day does had no effeot on body weight hematology and urine analyses when compared to the controls nor were there any gross or mloropathologio findings.

Aroclor*?.. 'SL (Continued) The 50 mg/kg/day dose produoed generalized inactivity#
weakness# lassitude# and loss of appetite. There were no significant looal skin reactions. Hema tology and urine analyses were oomparable to the controls. Cross pathologio examination revealed liver disooloration. All other tissues and organs were comparable to the oontrole. Mloro pathologio examination revealed moderate hepatio neoroals. All other tissues and organs were oomparable to the con trols. The 100 mg/kg/day dose was more severe but oomparable to the 50 mg/kg/day dose with regard to hematology# urine analyses# gross end micro pathologio examin ation. We do not have Inhalation nor breakdown produot data*

The 50# 100# and 200 mg/kg/day dose produced gener alized inactivity# weakness# lassitude and loss of appetite. The 200 mg/kg/day dose produced death before adverse skin reactions were observed* At the 50 and 100 mg/kg/day levels# there were skin reactions which revealed scaling# wrinkling and fissures. At these doses there were no effeots on hematology or urine analyses. Qroaa pathologic examination revealed liver dis coloration.
