TREATMENT OF RABBIT Ho. 292
Four days in metabolism cage n.s.d. no treatment. Faeces collected Series 1. Treated with 0.75 c.c. lead tetraethyl on skin of belly. The hair had been clipped as close as possible, care being taken to avoid breaking the skin. Kept in hood on animal board for 4 hours. The treated area of skin with sufficient margin to remove all surface lead was swabbed off with kerosene, followed by petroleum ether and finally soap and water. The animal was put into the metabolism cage and samples collected daily for 5 days, faeces and urine were separated. At the end of this time the faeces and urine samples were collected separately over 4 day periods until 6 samples had been collected.
