The purpose of the i ispection is (1) to assess the impact of wastewater discharges, air emis ions and solid and liquid waste disposal practices on the surrounding envi 'Onirent and (2) to evaluate current compliance status with the applicable .tatutes, regulations and with permits issued to your facility. The inspe :tors will observe process operations; evaluate monitoring practices, eq jipment and sites; examine waste management practices; review related recor is; and collect environmental samples which may include air, water, waste an J/or soil samples. In addition, the inspectors may wish to take photogr iphs of selected subjects. They will be interested in any phase of your op iration which could lead to pollution. Accordingly, facility personnel shoouuld follow their usual practices and procedures for production and moni taring Prior to their arrival, the inspection team will require certain inf ormation. Accordingly, we ask that the following materials be submitt id t o NEIC. Even though certain documents may have been previously subm tt:ed to the EPA Effluent Guidelines Division or to other EPA programs, ;he NEIC inspection team will require a copy of the same data to expedit th e survey and to ensure that the NEIC analysis is both factual and com >reh ensive.
