The following was agreed to: (a) The immediate program for NIMA to undertake was laison with the JDCNA Regional Associations to educate them with respect to health and and safety, workmen*0 compensation, insurance, etc. The Health and Safety Committee is to formulate a program to carry out this objective. (b) It was agreed that the program pertaining to asbestos should bo left with the Industrial Hygiene Foundation with individual companies participating diroctly with the I: IF. (c) The Duct Syntcmo Committoo should ascertain whether air erosion tests oa mineral fibor and liners and fibrous glass air ducts is practical and feasible. (d) NIMA should take membership in tl Industrial Ilygie i'oundet ion. OTHER BUSINESS (a) J. M. Barnhart is to write to IDCNA with respect to their letter of May 9 1966, (copy attached) denying their request of an imniadiate payment of the $2, 00. towards tho "Insulation Manual". (b) J. M. BAmlinrt in to write tho Thermal Insulation Association of Canada asking for tho Agenda for the meetings schoduled in Montral, Canada during 1967. (Copy of letter from TIAC attached). (c) Tho Publicity Committee is to design a publicity program thru the IDCNA NEWSLETTER. This activity should bo a continuing one, not exceeding $2, 000/yr.
