RECOMMENDATION Whenever possible, replace failed components instead of the complete assembly when servicing anti-wheel lock valve/controller assemblies and wheel speed pickups. This practice will lower cost of replacement parts and gen erally reduce labor time. INFORMATION Anti-wheel lock controller assemblies consist of three major components or subassemblies which can easily be re placed in the field. They are the valve, controller and solenoid(s). VALVE FIGURE S BENDIX VALVE/CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY Wheel speed pickup assemblies consist of the pickup, pickup gage blocks and mounting bracket. Gage blocks experience some wear during the initial operating period following a clearance adjustment. They must be re placed when the wear indicator grooves are no longer visible. The fol lowing parts list shows part numbers for the gage block service kit and the pickup. Bracket part numbers are not shown because they vary de pending on the axle used.
