I must point out with respect to the use of acetic acid, that the chromate metnod as we use it does not advocate the use of 2 cc of glacial acetic acid at the chromate precipitation stage (Jour. ind.Hyg., IV, I, 1922; lead Poisoning, Williams & Wilkins, 1924). If, however, lead chromate shows such a degree of solubility in acetic acid as you indicate, it would seem advisable to define the limits of solubility of lead chromate in various concentrations of acetic acid for the guidance of others. fours sincerely, g 0015631
