' University of Cincinnati Kettering Laboratory of Applied Physiology Eden Avenue Cincinnati 19, Ohio Dear Dr. Kehoe: Subsequent to our discussions of October 11th, 1913 I reviewed vith Mr. M. S. Roush his calculations showing that considerably less tetraethyl lead will evaporate from the Vitol solution than from gasoline. His cal culations took into account the difference in volatility between gasoline and Vitol which accounts for the difference between his results and those put forward by Dr. Morgana. Mr. Roush will immediately run experiments to check the validity of his calculations. At the meeting to be held for discussion of the toxic properties of Vitol it is important that the following data be available; 1. Experimental results on evaporation of lead from Vitol solutions. 2. Data from guinea pig experiments conducted in your laboratory. 3. Data from re-examination of Yellow Cab, Sohio and Thompson personnel engaged in handling Vitol commercially and experimentally. A* Data from examination of Columbus Green Cab personnel. It will be excellent if this meeting can be held sometime during the week of November 1st so that planning can be done prior to the American Petroleum Institute convention to be held the following week. Mr. Colwell is presenting a paper at that convention and I know a great many questions will be asked us concerning our plans for the future. If you can have the data available and come to Cleveland the week of November 1st, I will appre ciate a note from you to that effect so that others can be invited.
