, At one 'point In the records, it is indicated that it might to have been necessary to do an open reduction with internal fixation of K-wire. Apparently this was never done. The final x-rays on March 8th, 1982 showed a solid healing with slight angulation.
Apparently the petitioner first moved to the Rockford, Illinois' area and then was planning to go to California to work and unbeknownst to us that he had signed with an attorney, he called you to make a settlement and did make a settlement on receipts for 5% of a hand or $2,499.99, on or about April 6th, 1982.
I believe we should have the petitioner evaluated in the next several months but this may be difficult if he has, in fact, moved to California.
By way of reserve, I would request an additional 15% because of the angulation factor although it is well possible that we could settle this case for an additional 10%. However, I believe trial exposure would be an additional 15%.
I will keep you advised of further developments on this case as they occur.
Very truly yours,
