' v '< RE: MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS Dear Ms. Klonoff: In response to your letter dated November 18, 1986, please be advised that we have carefully checked with the Cal/OSHA located in Sacramento regarding whether or not pipes are considered to be "articles", and we were told that under normal conditions and designed purpose of usage, pipes ARE considered to be "articles". Articles that do not release hazardous substances are exempt from the Material Safety Data Sheet regulation. As a matter of fact, under normal operating conditions, for designed purpose of usage, and following recommended work practices, our pipes DO NOT release hazardous substances; therefore, we are NOT LEGALLY REQUIRED to prepare the Material Safety- Data Sheets for our products.
