SHAC SHAC is planning the second EPP Drill for the year during December. D. MISCELLANEOUS A draft OSHA regulation is being considered for a Special Emphasis Program targeting the chemical industry. The Houston area will be a pilot site. It is not unreasonable to expect an OSHA visit then in 1986. The thrust is primarily in the area of procedures and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures, Preventive Maintenance, Emergency Response procedures, etc. Secondarily, a walk through inspection would be made for spot check of the documented procedures and policies. Workmen's Compensation payments will be handled through the Benefits Office to keep payments on time for employees injured on the job. All insurance checks (INA) will need to be returned to Benefits, since Monsanto will in fact pay normal wages. Notify Ray Supak, CED, of contractor presence in the plant. Ray provides Safety Orientation and observation for contractors. Hazard Communication compliance is essentially on time. Training is a key issue and must be completed by May 25, 1986. Employees should report to Medical if there is any indication of an injury. We have been getting late reports of injuries. /bjh SC 13673 LAM015422
