Q. I'm trying to calculate the amount of TCDD in that 20,000 gallon OCP spill. How much does a gallon of OCP weigh in pounds? How many pounds does the TCDD weigh as a percent of the load?
A- OCP weighs approximately 10.3 pounds per gallon. So a 20,000 gallon load weighs 207,000 pounds. The TCDD would constitute 1/8 of one ounce and to the best of our knowledge is spread evenly throughout the tankcar contents.
Q. Reporter read Columbia Missourian article which stated EPA said they asked for samples but not for us to test for TCDD and my rebuttal.
A. Gave same response as before and explained sequence of events.
