EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING New York, N. Y. January 7, 1929. The first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lead Industries Association was held at the office of Clinton H. Crane, President, 250 Park Avenue, New York, N. Y., on Monday, January 7, 1929, at 4 P. M. Present: Clinton H. Crane Chairman Hamilton M. Brush Ralph M. Roosevelt F. M. Carter F. Y. Robert son President, St. Joseph Lead Co. Vice President, American Smelting and Refining Co. Vice President, Eagle-Picher Lead Co. Vice President, National Lead Co. Vice President, United States 3melting Refining and Mining Co. comprising a quorum of the Committee; also F. E. Wormser, Secretary. The Chairman placed before the Committee the subject of tariff revision on lead and lead products. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Secretary be in structed to send the following telegram to the lead producing members of the Lead Industries Association: LIA 02 3 f 1 CD "Members of the Executive Committee representing the producers of lead believe that no revision of lead tariff rates up or down is advisable at present and would like to present this view to the Ways and Means Committee as the unanimous opinion of the lead producers stop Please wire your views". The Chairman appointed Mr. F. M. Carter and Mr. Ralph M. Roosevelt a sub-committee to ascertain the attitude of lead manufacturers toward a revision of the tariff on lead products. The application of the Lewin Metals Corporation for membership in the Lead Industries Association was considered. It was moved and seconded that the Lewin Metals Corporation be admitted to membership in the Lead Industries Association. Unanimously carried. The meeting thereupon adjourned. Chairman. Secretary.
