It is conceivable that he worked at the South Gate Plant during 1950 but this would not be as an employee of the plant. Mr. Faulkner may have been c.r.loyed by ur Contracting Division in the performance of an insulation conrracu r.t th South Gate Plant, but all records for this division prior to 1957 have been destroyed and we have no way of substantiating such ecrploynent.

We are one of several co-defendants in an action brought by the applicant for recovery of Workmen's Compensation benefits as the applicant alleges that he was an asbestos worker and claims injury to his respiratory system because of exposure to dust.
Our records indicate we were the Workmen's Compensation carrier for your South Gate, California, plant from January 1, 1944 through December 31, 1951. At a hearing recently, social security records were produced in dicating that Mr. Faulkner worked at the South Gate plant from March,
'1952 to December 3 1 , 1950
We checked with your South Gate plant, and your personnel department there
advised us that they have no record of Mr. Faulkner ever being employed
at the South Gate plant. We also checked with the Armstrong Contracting
.nd Supply Company here and they were also unable to locate any record of
employment of Mr, Faulkner.

They suggested that we contact your office indicating that you. had records of all past employees which also indicated the place of employment.
We would like to know exactly when Mr. Faulkner was employed by your company and at what plant he worked. We would also like a job description.

T talked with Mr. Hughes of the Armstrong Cork Company by telephone today, he advised me he understood that the South Gate Plant of the . Armstrong Cork Company was insured by tne Employer's .Mutual Insurance Co. and that all other operations of ills Company in California were insured by your Company.
He further advised that records going back to 1950 had long since
been destroyed. He further stated that he could not see how the
Claimant would suffer respiratory trouble while employc-ed at tne above
mentioned Plant.
