...Please review these documents and contact the appropriate people within-Nevada Power and have them answer the questions posed.- . Additionally, along with any answers, please identify the person or persons who provided such answers. When the responses have been-compiled, please forward all documents and written responses to me. I will then prepare'the pleadings reflecting those responses and transmit them to our opponents.
As far as the status of this case is concerned nothing much is happening. So far, the defendants have removed the case to Federal Court. After conducting some research, it appears that there is no way that we can prevent this.
On September 5, 1989, we were scheduled to appear before the Federal Court for a conference. At this time the Conference has been rescheduled to September 27, 1989. The purpose of the Conference is to discuss and submit proposals for the management and scheduling of this case. After this hearing, the Federal Court will issue a scheduling order concerning discovery and other such matters.
In essence, at this time the case is inactive. Nonetheless, it is important that our responses to the within discovery requests be prepared expeditiously. Since we are obligated to file our responses by September 26, 1989, please get your answers to me by September 21st.
Thank you for your attention. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to contact me or in my absence, Nik Skrinjaric.
Sincerely yours,
JONES, JONES, CLOSE & BROWN,, CHARTERED
