No. 132 EPA PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CHART 591:5001 EPA Chemical Emergency Preparedness and Prevention Office Table of Products Under Development For Risk Management Plan Implementation [Revised July 2,1998] ' EPA is developing a variety of products to assist the regulated community, as well as implementing agencies and members of the general public, to understand and comply with the requirements of the accidental release prevention provisions of Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act, also known as the Risk Management Program requirements. This table provides information about products EPA is developing, including the anticipated completion date and the current status of the work. This table is organized into nine sections, the first seven of which reflect the subgroups of the RMP Implementation Workgroup which has made several recommendations to EPA concerning product development. AUDIT PROTOCOL AND GUIDANCE A. Fact sheet: Differences Between Chemical Safety Audits and RMP Audits will give regional and state offices a succinct explanation of the two programs and their overlap. Federal Register announcement of "Method and Format" will announce the method and for mat, that will need to be used to submit RMPs. Commercial software vendors will need to modify their software to meet these specifications. For facilities planning to use RMP*Submit, it will au tomatically generate this file format. D. RMF*Info will be the public access system for RMP data. It will be located on EPA's Envirofacts on the Internet. E. RMP*Submit system is an automated software program for RMP facilities to use to submit RMPs. The software will run on Windows 3.1 and above. There will not be a DOS or MAC version. F. Electronic Waiver Form will need to be filled out and submitted by facilities who do not sub mit electronically. The form will be only 2-3 questions, fill in the blanks. G. Demonstration projects "RMP*Submit" and "RMP*Info" will be available for demonstrations at RMP presentations. VI. OUTREACH AND TRAINING A.
