We met with the receptionist, Haleigh Mccullah at the front desk for an Opening Conference. We presented our credentials to Haleigh Mccullah and informed her that this was an EPA inspection to review whether the equipment available for sale at the dealer was certified by the EPA for sale in the U.S. The scope of the inspection was an evaluation of the compliance status of several pieces of equipment being offered for sale at the facility. FACILITY DESCRIPTION Facility is a storefront retail outlet for motorsports equipment located in a warehouse-type building. The layout consisted of a back room for repairs and parts storage, an office, and display floor space for some 30 or so vehicles, including ATVs, UTVs, karts and nonroad motorcycles. Facility appeared to have 3 employees: The owner/manager, the receptionist, and a mechanic. Facility operates 5 days a week, about 7 hours each day. Section II - OBSERVATIONS Inspector Aguilar talked to the owner, Michael Mccullah and asked him if he had any KXD motorcycles. He stated that he no longer sells KXD bikes. These were of interest to EPA from prior inquiries. EPA inspectors also asked him about other local dealerships that also sell dirt bikes and Michael provided the following information: Electron X - main Apollo carriers Flying Scooter - also carries Apollo BMC Motorsports - sells x-moto, Donfang, Kandy and Massimo go-karts At 12:18pm, both EPA inspectors began conducting inspections. EPA inspector Mario also informed her that if we required additional information, EPA would reach out via email.
