Sikes - Ardaore We have reviewed your letter and attached sketch concerning a special 5/5" board requested by Johns-Maaville froa the Sigurd plant. The product would require considerable revision to our existing process equipaent. Special scoring wheels, hopper points and edge shoes would have to be designed and fabricated. Special width face paper would be required. The product would have to be run one atreaa (24") in width on the aachine. Our productive capacity would be 30% of regular 5/8" production. The special edge would be extready dif ficult to aaintain; which aeans excessive rejects and possible field coaplainte on pieces which were aarginal to specifications and rejects. Proa the above consents. you can deduce that we do not want to aaanfacture the proposed product. This is especially true for the Sigurd plant where we have a satisfactory voluae of business and would actually suffer in total voluae by the addition of this itea. SGP 0024481
