I finally have gotten around to reading the report by Environmental Analysts on the Trenton and Eaethampton plants. This is a very good report and I appreciate the copy. There is one great unknown which has a bearing on the Droblem. What ore was being run in the furnaces at the time the samples were taken? South Carolina or Libby???? Can you find out from someone? Both are available at each plant. The #3 and #4 ore is South Carolina with the #1 or #2 being Libby. 1. I gathered from this report that several places exceeded the TVL limits because of poor collection or holes in duct or exhaust equipment not being in operation. 2. Not good enough collection at Bagger Station on furnace. This showed the highest count at Enoree D-16 also, even more than dry mill. 3. We are OK on free silica if high dust loads are Rapt.down. 4. The asbestos or total fib^r count was high at two locations at Trenton. I would certainly like to know if they were running South Carolina or Lihby ore at the time. If South Carolina, then I am cer tainly surprised. This is even high for Libby ore. OFS:bm l
