The original regulation effectively mandated a transition to electric vehicles while ignoring the proven emissions-reducing benefits of ethanol and other renewable fuels. By reconsidering, the EPA can restore fairness to its regulatory framework and recognize that low-cost liquid fuels like ethanol must be part of securing America's energy future.
