I just spoke with staff at MDEQ (Abby Hendershott - the Wolverine Project lead) and there are actually two technical meetings in play that have been requested by MDEQ.
First is the one that I think we're all discussing now and it has nothing to do with Heidi's March 6th letter but is instead being requested by Nate Zimmer to discuss the PFAS analytical method that Ml wants to use statewide in its efforts (isotope dilution). That's the issue Heidi wanted to talk about with you and Peter at ECOS.
The second technical meeting would be an in-person one that MDEQ is requesting to discuss next steps based on ALSKelso. They want EPA to look at the data analyses they are putting together (which are outlined in the March 6 1 letter). This meeting would be in April.
I am going to follow-up with Nate Zimmer and Sue Leeming on the first meeting I described above.

Peter Grevatt and Tom Poy, my branch chief, have been at the same meetings in DC this week. Peter asked Tom yesterday for R5 to set up a technical meeting with OW, ORD, and MDEQ for Friday or Monday. I did not set that up because we hadn't received instructions from you. Tom spoke with Peter again today and Peter wants the technical meeting to occur tomorrow and he thinks R5 is setting it up. Would you like for me to contact MDEQ and go ahead and set it up? I appreciate your time and counsel.
