Fydreul AC OSes not have a serious potential in this respect but good practice dlotates that oare be exercised to the extent that workmen do not wash their hands in the liquid or work all day with an "oily film of the fluid on the, skin. Me do not see why such praotlee should present any restrictive use of the fluid, Xn connection with using air distributed by compressors equipped with Fydreul AC, there should be no difficulty of any towie effeots if workmen breaths such air. She fluid is of such low vapor pressure that at normal working temperatures air will net eontain any significant quantities of the Fydraul AO vapors. On the other hand, If It should be found that the compressed alp has a dis tinctive odor of the fluid, then the airline mask worn by the work men should be provided with an airline filter such as that nanufaotured by the Mine Aafety Appllanoss Company. This Is a filter designed for use where plant compressed air Is also used for air line respirators or masks and the filter Is quite ooamonly Incor porated in the line to remove vapors, oil, water mists, and condensation prom the sonpressed air.
