In parcular the PFAS scandal shows the inadequacy of the current rules. But unfortunately, the long-awaited revision of EU chemicals safety law, the REACH regulaon, will not happen under this Commission. We would have hoped that the Belgium presidency would have started the legislave work. Now, the presidency's opportunity and challenge will be to keep and strengthen the momentum for the policy reform. We would appreciate having the opportunity to discuss with you about the prospects for next years. More specifically, we would like to understand and explore how the chemicals safety topic can fit within the 5-years strategic agenda for 2024 - 2029.
