Dear Mr. TtonBartesveldt: I send you herewith an account of the expenditures made In our work for your company during the third quarter of 1950. This is sent to you primarily for .information, and it does not involve any need for action on your part at this time. The work that is toeing done at the present time, as you will toe able to see from the account, relates to the investigations carried out on various groups of men. Ho animal experimentation is in progress, and obviously, none will toe undertaken until you give the word. Since I X'eturaed from abroad in the late summer and early autumn, I have been so swamped with things demanding to be done, that I have not bad occasion to look for anything else to do. Therefore, I have not undertaken to write up the experiments on the animals and to prepare a report. If there should toe any reason for getting at this, it would toe veil if I were to know in advance, since at present, and, so far as I can. see for seme time to come, I shall toe working hard to keep my head above the water level.
