Dear Dr.Kehoe, Some four we/ks ago, we received cable advice iron Australia ithat there were two cases of lead poisoning in Sydney which were being tr/ated with satisfactory results by Dr.Blackburn. As we had:no further details, we waited for the full report before advising you. This report has now come to hand, and we enclose copies of the foilwing documents 1) Covering letter dated 23rd July from our Australian Office. 2) Copy of letter from C.O.R. to Mr.Batchelor dated 15th July. 3) Copy of metical report by Dr,Blackburn dated 13th July. 4) Copy of letter commenting on the cases, from Dr.Fairley to Mr.Batclelor, dated 22nd July. You will Jof course, notice that this case bears an almost tragic similarity to practically all other cases of lead poisoning due to tahk dealing, inasmuch as it is quite obviously attributable to negligence in/following our regulations. The main, point of interest, however, which emerges is the successful result of the treatment given by Dr.Blackburn. Mr.Bevan has asked me to send you the enclosed correspondence, at the same tin sending it also to Dr.Davison.
