Philadelphia, Pa., April 16, 1945 At a regular meeting of the Directora of John T. Lewia A Bros. Company, hold this day at their offices in the Widener Building, there were presentt J. W. Gardiner, President S. F. Reeves, Ties President A. M. Wilson, Ties President L* T. Beale, Director The meeting was called to order by Mr. J. W. Gardiner, who presided, and Mr* A. M. Wilson reported the minutes of the meeting. The senates of the meeting of April 9, were read and approved. Mr. Reeves stated that the pension application for Mr. Conrad Amenhauser was approved by the Mew Xork Pension Board. Mr. Reeves reported the following eomparative figures for the first three months of 1944 and 1945, including estimated taxes but without including Mew Terk overheadi Mareh First three months 1944 - profit $14,619.47 1944 - profit $38,387.36 J.945 - profit 1,306.10 1945 - profit 16,141.62 Partially accounting for reduced profit for Mareh is the fact that our oil mill was shut down, due to lack of flaxseed, during which period considerable was spent in machinery repairs that were delayed because of shortage of labor. This has been summarized in a letter to Mr. H. T. Warehow, dated April 1?. Business conditions in general were discussed.
