Colin Marshall, President and Chief Executive Officer
President and CEO Colin Marshall is responsible for the operations of Cloud Peak Energy. The company operates three Powder River Basin coal mines in Wyoming and Montana.
Before his appointment as head of Cloud Peak Energy, Mr. Marshall was President and CEO of Rio Tinto Energy America (RTEA) prior to the company's public offering as Cloud Peak Energy (CLD). Preceding RTEA, Mr. Marshall was the General Manager of Rio Tinto's West Pilbara iron ore operations. He was located in Tom Price, West Australia, where he managed four iron ore mines.
Mr. Marshall began his career with the Rio Tinto group in 1987 as a Graduate Trainee. He then worked for Rio Tinto pic in London as an analyst in the Business Evaluation Department before moving to Brisbane in 1996 as Finance Director of Pacific Coal. In 2000 he was appointed General Manager of Rio Tinto Energy America's Cordero Rojo mine in Wyoming. He served in that role until March 2004 when he moved to Tom Price.
Mr. Marshall holds both a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Brunei University and an MBA from London Business School.

Bryan Pechersky joined Cloud Peak Energy in January' 2010 as its Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Pechersky was appointed Corporate Secretary in 2013 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2015. Mr. Pechersky oversees the company's legal and government affairs departments. Prior to joining Cloud Peak Energy, Mr. Pechersky served as general counsel and in senior leadership positions for several other public companies, including in the energy industry'.
Mr. Pechersky was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE: HHS), a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company; Senior Vice President, Secretary' and Senior Corporate Counsel for Blockbuster Inc. (NYSE: BBI), a global movie and game entertainment retailer; and Deputy General Counsel and Secretary' for Unocal Corporation (NYSE: UCL), an international energy company acquired by Chevron Corporation in 2005.
Mr. Pechersky was in private practice with the international law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP before joining Unocal. Mr. Pechersky also served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Loretta A. Preska, Chief Judge of the U.S, District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Pechersky earned his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas.
Richard Reavey, Vice President Public Affairs
Richard Reavey, Vice President Public Affairs at Cloud Peak Energy, has extensive global public affairs experience and has worked complex fiscal and public policy issues on the ground with governments in over 50 countries. Prior to joining Cloud Peak in 2014, Reavey worked for several years in the consulting field, mainly with clients seeking to enter developing markets or engage with officials in the Middle East and Africa. From 1990 - 2007, he was an executive with Philip Morris International and held positions in the communications and government affairs around the world, including as head of function for one of four global operating units. He began his career as a staffer in the US Congress.
Reavey is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service (BS) and Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (MA). He has lived in Switzerland, Sweden, the UAE, and Malaysia. He and his family currently reside in Colorado.
