TO: SUBJECT: GRIPTEX MINERAL WOOL BLOCK INSULATION Griptax Mineral Wool Block Insulation has a temperatur limit of 1900. Sinca our discontinued product, #19 Insulating Block, also had a temperature limit of 1900, there may be some confusion existing. Althcuoh both products are rated at 1900, our #19 Block was considerably stronger than Griptex. In many instances, when used as a backup insulation, and when suitably supported, Griptex could be sub stituted for the stronger #19 Block. In other ap plications where strength is a factor, it could not be substituted.
