STATEMENT OF POLICY As an expression of confidence in CFD products, when projects flnsnced by the Division are to be carried out In Crace-owned buildings. It Is appro*
prlate that, whenever practical, CFD products be used. Where a CFD unit
occupies a non Grace-owned building, the-wishes of .the owner are to be considered. In such cases, CFD products will'be used consistent with the lease or other controlling circumstances and will be dealt with on a caseby-cse basis.
PROCEDURES AND IMPLEMENTATION
'
-
1. It Is the responsibility of plant, building or facility management to
conform to the "spirit" of this policy by cooperating fully In the use
of the Division's products whenever possible.
2. The Central Engineering Department will act as a focal point for and coordinate activities of field, research, technical, sales and purchasing personnel who are working to use CPD products.
' i
3. In most product line areas, it Is necessary to gather considerable field experience before commercializing new products or systems. The use of non-commercial products for Division projects provides an opportunity to gain valuable field experience. So that proper evaluations can be made of these products and our experience kept from our competltiors, It is Important that their use be limited to Grace-owned buildings. Experience with their use, including problems which may develop, must be eomsunlcated promptly by field personnel to the technical group, through Central Engineering. Obviously, only those who have a "need to know" should have access to such information.
4. All expense and capital shop orders will be thoroughly reviewed for con
formance with this policy.
