Dear Jack: I have your letter of January 10, concerning the program material for the St. I*oui3 Meeting. I should have replied sooner, but I have been so pressed for time, having only returned recently to this country, that it has been impossi ble for me to deal with any but the most urgent items of my correspondence. I am very glad to give you such tentative information about the status of our vork, as is nov availa ble . You realize no doubt that most of our vork has been in restricted and confidential fields, and there is not too much to offer. I had hoped to get together some articles for publication to be used in meetings cf this type, but I am afraid there is no hope of my doing much along this line for many months to come. I have tvo titles, or rather tvo sub-titles under a general heading that may be of some interest, "The Toxicity of Cer tain Chemicals Used In the Manufacture of Sulfa Drugs * A. 2-Aminodiazlne and 2-Amino-4-Methal Pyrimidine, by Treon, Heyroth and Wright B. 2-Aminothiozole, by Deichmann. " We shall give very serious thought to the possibility of pre paring tvo or three other papers. If there Is a dearth of program material, ve should be glad to exert ourselves to some special degree in getting together other articles for vhich data are available. If you will let me knov what the prospects are for program material, I shall knov better whether ve ought to push this matter a little harder or whether ve can put our attention on some other work.
