Murray Approval obtained from Sears on June 15, 1982 with the condition that Nutrurn conduct additional dyno and vehicle testing per agreement between Koss and Steffan. Test program must be defined as soon as possible and completed by year end. Based upon Sears, J. C. Penney's, and aftermarket require ments, I am instructing D. Lloyd to: 1) Complete modification of current tooling. 2) Begin full scale production based on requirements per Whitford and Loftis. 3) Prepare justification and CEA for new (1982 line additions) part numbers. 4) Continue efforts to improve operating methods and specifications. Current Bendix purchases should cover our Brake requirements until August. We need to be fully prepared to supply product at that time to maximize internal cost savings. Also, technical efforts must continue in emest to qualify the reduced cost dry mix version of 3401N8.
