We reaffirm that a grant to the University of Colorado and contracts with Fudan University and Applied Health Sciences have been awarded to the principal investigators to fund these studies. Dr. Richard Irons, the principal investigator from the University of Colorado, is responsible for the clinical, laboratory, and exposure assessment portions of the study. He has contracted with EMBSI to do the exposure assessment. Activities in support of the exposure assessment, such as an exposure assessment workshop, is the responsibility of Dr. Irons. The consortium appreciates the excellent work that has been done and the work that is continuing. We look forward to your updates at the annual meeting in November. Of course we have and will follow the principles. I dont know why you mentioned these issues at the moment. But I thought that it might be related sometings recently. If so, I need to explain some. On monday (June 28) afternoon, we had an acadamical activity about the exposure assessment in China team. The purpose of the seminar was to understand more sector analysis and how to improve and make our work effective here. To make the seminar effective we asked He Yonghua who has more time this month to do some literature review and give a speaching first. Then we can focus on something to discuss. This thinking was created after the conference call and we planned this seminar was only limited within China team because it was more informal and more academic. We will not make any decision. As Yimei has come back to Shanghai then we also asked her to attend the seminar. But I didnot know why she always interrupt the presentation to talk so much (occupying about half time), and sometime with complaining mode. It made the participants had no more time to discuss. After the seminar I sent an email to her and telled her that it was only a seminar but not a working meeting. Because of her special position here as a US industrial hygienist, her speaking will have great influence and effectiveness of final decision. She should be car of her behaviour and speaking art. It was only an advices and limited withing her and me. The purpose is to help her how to work more friendly and effective her. After then I was very happy to have her email which ask me to make an appointment with her. She also sent email to other persons how to improve better communications. It is very good. We need united team and peaceful environment which will help the project much. But I dont know why such small thing would raise such attention at such higer level.
