In the first paragraph of your letter you ash certain questions concerning air analyses for the Lead Area, vie have our copies of these analyses and apparently copies were rnaiied to you. I will obtain copies from the Lead Area and forward them. There is a correction in the date since the report dated Septem ber 26, is for the first fifteen days of September, while the report dated September l4, is for the last sixteen days of August. There has been many changes in our control group. I am, therefore, forwarding you a copy which gives you the present employment of these men. As far as the analytical group are concerned these men work in the so-called pilot building making; mixed alkyls. We will attempt to coordinate the time spent by each man on each floor. We will have some difficul ty with this since apparently we, right here on the Job, have been unable to follow these men in detail. I will try to get the information you need as soon as is oossible. I am enclosing, herewith, the paper you re quested, that is, the one given in Cleveland. I look forward to seeing the corrected copy. We have in mind running blood lead levels on our control group as well as faeces and urine reports. This means that each three months we would forward blood specimens with the urine and faeces specimens. Can you do this work for us? If so, what additional charge would there be? 2 I would like to run our control group, that Is ninety men, for one year getting the blood lead level at the same tine we take excretion levels in urine and faeces. I believe this would add to the picture and give us a little better idea of actual exposures occurring in the various job locations. 7/hat do you think of this? I would appreciate your point of view. '.7hen you visit us next I have some other problems that I would like to discuss with you, in connection with the blood samples and with control of this group. I have compiled some other interest ing reports similar to those we discussed at our last visit, that is I ha.ve attempted to coordinate symp toms in relation to the dates that high lead air con tent were shown. The report is very Inconclusive but it does indicate that we need some further protective measures at various locations in the lead building. We can discuss this in more detail on your next visit here. I hope I can find some excuse to come to Cincinnati, at least next spring. I would certainly be interested to try a run-around in your new crlscraft. That seems to me the ideal boat for your location. My boat is still under construction.
