Subject: 1 9 RI Chemical Division Health Evaluations
Date: February 16, 1982
Health evaluations performed in 1981 are summarized below. A total of 211 Chemical Plant employees participated. In addition there were 17 from the CRD Pilot Plant, 12 from the Incinerator area and 24 from Maintenance. This was a total of 264 Individuals. Each tested employee was Interviewed personally either by the nurse or a 3M staff physician. In some cases repeat tests were done to clarify questions. When acceptable with the employee, copies of test results were sent to the personal physician.
As In all health testing programs of this type certain borderline or abnormal findings are detected each year. These are evaluated clinically and when Indicated referred to their personal physician for follow-up.
As part of the fluorochemical program, we are presently comparing testing data with blood fluorine levels since the latter are now available on a plant wide basis. These results will be reported at a later date.
We will also be reviewing proposed health testing schedules within the near future. I would like to discuss this with you at ^hat time. Please call if there are questions.
