The implication was that the insertion of the trocar would lead to rather immediate and definite response. It appears to me, after reading your letter of March 10, 1955, that my letter to you about Dr. Avy*s data on lead in the Paris atmosphere has served as the golden trocar and has obtained the desired response. I greatly appreciate your letter of March 10, 1955 with its attach ments. I felt quite certain that this was a problem that your laboratory would have the most complete data on and would have "also some very definite ideas and opinions as a result of the data which you have collected.
