I have had some thoughts about how we as a committee can increase our day-to-day involvement in plant safety efforts and programs and these points have come to mind:
1. Should we design a decal or some other method of hard hat identification (possibly the plastic letters "SHAC") identifying us as committee members when we are out in the plant?
c 2. Should we designate members as ''Principal SHAC Contact" for particular geographic locations and crafts/groups? This would give all committee members first-hand exposure in many cases to potential items for our attention. Several details would need to be worked out (including publicity) prior to implementation. One possible grouping might include:
Stacy Lacy
- Manufacturing Areas
Hebert - Maintenance Areas
Tissue - Services, Office Areas
Cavender - Research, PT, Lab Areas
I'd appreciate your input regarding these suggestions plus any ideas that you might have. We'll plan- to discuss this at our June 8th -ting.
