TEST ORGANISM: Acartiatonsa (Dana),suppliedby theMarine BiologicalLaboratory, Universityof Copenhagen.
CULTIVATION:
The testorganisms were suppliedaseggs,and were cultivateidnaccordance with the"ParisCommission - Ring TestProtocol"(VKI). Largecopepodites and adultswere used in thetest.
PREPARATIONS:
Naturalseawater(salinity3:4 %0) from an unpollutedsiteinBAord was used

Each testconcentratiownas preparedby addingtheproductin600 grams of damp sedimentina plastibcucket.200 mi of seawaterwas added and the bucketwas shakenfor3 hours.The sedimentwas dividedintothreebeakers, 400 ml of seawaterwas added toeach,and thebeakerswere aeratedover night.10 animalswere thenrandomlyselectefdoreachbeaker.A sample of thedamp sedimentwas analysedforwater contenta,nd allconcentrationasre calculateads'mg kg-1sedimentdryweight.
