My dear Dr. Mackle:
You were good enough to be quite frank with me regarding the reasons for having selected a competitive hose mask for the equipping of your field engineers.
We have recently made an improvement, which I believe will make our hose mask particularly valuable to your corpor ation.
The left hand chart on the enclosure shows a service life of 36 hours on tests made according to U. S. Bureau of Mines, as compared with 23 hours of our former hose. This latter you will note has a considerably longer service life than other hose used on similar equipment. This add ed safety life is obtained by the use of a synthetic cover ing.
I trust that you will have us in mind whenever you need re placement parts, keeping in mind that we use American Standard Association standard threads on our unions.
By the time I see you, which will be in the next four or five weeks, I will be able to show you our latest model of mask, which I am sure will answer any of the criticisms which you may have had of our former face piece.
With kind personal regards, I am,
Very truly yours.
