I previously served as Policy Director for the Ways & Means Committee under former Chairman Dave Camp. Currently I serve as an advisor at Mayer Brown and one of our clients is Arkema. Arkema is a major US employer and investor with 19 US facilities and 3,600 US employees (some company background is attached). You may be familiar with Arkema as one of the plaintiffs in the recently decided case before the DC Circuit challenging the SNAP regulations proposed by the Obama Administration. Mike Catanzaro recommended that we reach out request a meeting with the Administrator to share with him our views of the issue and the decision by the Court and how it fits into the larger policy goals of the Administrator. In addition, we would request that Mexichem, the other company involved in the litigation join the meeting as well. We are available to meet at the Administrator's earliest convenience and given the timelines involved would appreciate the opportunity to meet as soon as possible. Thank you for your assistance and please let me know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Warren Warren S. Payne Senior Policy Advisor 17cv1906 Sierra Club v.
