UTILITIES DEPARTMENT PER80NAL PROTECTION POLICY We in the Utilities Department pledge to continually work to protect and preserve the health and safety of all personnel* Therefore, we have developed programs to protect the hearing, eyesight, and respiratory systems of our employees. It is our policy that we will first develop and implement engineered solutions to remove or prevent hazards to these systems. For protection from those sources of hazard or irritation which cannot be removed by an engineered solution, we will develop, promulgate;"-and rigorously enforce a program of personal protection through procedures that define proper work practices and the use of proper protective equipment. It is of the utmost importance that we work together to protect ourselves from the many hazards which can be present in the workplace. We can accomplish our goal by conscientiously learning and applying the rules and guidelines set forth in our personal protection programs.
