8 M. A. King formerly man ager of engineer ing, has rejoined the Elliott Com pany as engi neering vice
president. Jean nette Division. With Elliott for 27 years, he was executive engi neer for the tur bine division of Worthington Pump fls Machinery Corporation for the past five years. He joined the Kerr Turbine Company of Wellsville, N. Y,, following graduation from the Univer
sity of Michigan in 1916. Elliott pur chased Kerr .in 1923, made King chief engineer in 1924. He became turbine manager at Jeannette in 1932. In 1941 he was appointed manager of engineer ing for the company.
0 J. D. Wlllcox, Jr. became Elliott Company district manager at Houston, Texas, November 1. Mr. Willcox came with die Elliott Company immediately upon graduating in electrical engineer ing from Cornell in 1935. After com pleting the sales training course, he was assigned to the Atlanta office where he has been ever since, with the exception of three years during the war when he served as an officer in the U. S. Navy.

8 DEMA meeting More than 70 college professors and representatives of Diesel engine manu facturers attended an all-day meeting at Elliott Company's Jeannette plant on November 9. The meeting was spon sored by the Educational Divisionofthe Diesel Engine Manufacturers Associ ation. Professors represented the Uni versity of Pittsburgh, West Virginia University, Ohio State University, Williamsport Technical Institute, Carnegie Institute of Technology, BuckneU University, and the Penn sylvania State College.
Discussions covered turbocharger de sign, application and metallurgy, re search activities. Inspection trips were made through the Elliott shops, labo ratories, and research departments.
