Gelieve onderstaand een bericht te vinden van het Raadssecretariaat in verband met de toegang tot delegates portal. Er zal binnenkort (vanaf oktober 2023) een nieuwe inlogprocedure worden ingevoerd voor het delegates portal. Bijgevolg zal de nodige overstap door alle betrokken gebruikers moeten worden voltooid voor de start van het Belgische voorzitterschap.

"GSC's Digital Services (SMART), with a view to increasing security, is planning to gradually switch to multifactor authentication (MFA) for users wishing to access Delegates Portal.
Context Delegates Portal is the main tool for sharing information between the GSC and national delegates. At present, the platform has around 30 000 active accounts that are periodically renewed. Access rights are managed by the Member States themselves.
Currently, users are able to access Delegates Portal via their Delegates Portal username and password or, optionally, via EU Login (around 10 000 users access the platform this way).. In the future, we plan to make access to Delegates Portal via EU Login compulsory. This means that users will have to create an account on EU Login (if they do not yet have one) and link it to their existing Delegates Portal account. In addition, each user, including those who are already using EU Login, will have to configure a second factor verification on EU Login to access their account.
Timeline We plan to transition to the new scheme in two phases.
Phase one will concern local, system and support administrators of Delegates Portal, i.e. approximately 1 000 users. In order for these users to access the platform, they will have to use the MFA EU Login as of mid-September 2023. Before the start of this phase we will contact them directly to explain this change in detail.
Phase two will start from mid-October 2023 and will concern all other accounts on the platform (some 30 000 people). The transition should be complete by the end of this year.
What does this mean for users?

For delegates who are already using EU Login to access Delegates Portal, the user experience will remain largely unchanged, except that they will be required to use and configure EU Login's second factor verificaon method. Delegates who are not yet using EU Login to access Delegates Portal will be requested to create an EU Login account, select the verificaon method for the second factor and then link this EU Login account to their Delegates Portal account. Any new delegate who applies for an account on Delegates Portal will first be asked to login via their EU Login account. If they do not have an EU Login account, they will need to create one before proceeding with the applicaon for a Delegates Portal account. Support We will inform delegates and other stakeholders in advance of the upcoming changes and make sure that the new procedure is fully explained in the User Guide. Even if the steps to be taken are fairly straighorward, we will increase the capacity of our support services to provide assistance to colleagues who may need it. This new way of accessing Delegates Portal will increase data security and help prevent data leaks as a result of unauthorised account access. " Vriendelijke groet
