Cat Cracker Unit 1700 Nueces Bay Blvd Corpus Christi, Texas Please be notified of our intent to perform asbestos removal from the fireproofing in our Cat I unit. The facility is approximately 32 years old. 1. The approximate amount of asbestos material is 4,000 square feet. A laboratory analysis revealed the asbestos to be 5# chrysotile, very heavily coated fibers, silicate minerals 60$. The asbestos is located along the beams and support structure of our Cat Cracker Unit. 2. The removal will be performed by our insulation shop as time permits. This will be an ongoing project throughout the year (approximately 2 days/week). 3. Our insulators have been thoroughly trained in asbestos removal. Glovebags are being utilized during the removal process. Our insulators will be wearing MSA half face respirators with hepa filters and disposable tyvek coveralls. They are required to shower before lunch and before leaving the jobsite. 4. Personal and area samples will be taken. 5- The bags of asbestos waste materials shall be disposed of at Waste Disposal Inc., P. 0.
