(U.S.A) Dear Sir, V/e write this further to your letter dated 4th December 1961, wherein you were kind enough to suggest that, it would be best to sample and analyse the air at various points in the factory (where different processes are going on and where their is a likelyhood of air bourne lead particles or lead fumes) As per your advice we contacted different laboratories in Bombay city and elsewhere ahd were adviced to get the sampling and testing done in Bombay City only. We have nov; entrusted the analyses and sampling to the Department of Chemical Technology of the Bombay University. The Director of this department now wishes us to inform him asto which tests,in your opinion, are nov* accepted as final and authoritative in this connection, so that at a later stage we should not be con fronted with an agreement to the effect that the tests as carried out by us are disputable and that some other tests would give a more clear and final indication of the issue under consideration. In view of the above we request you to help us by kindly indicating the kinds and the nature of the tests that are suitable to determine the presence and extent of floating lead particles and lead fumes in the air. most We are really sorry to put to your good self to this trouble, but we. hone and trust you will be kind enough to extend to us your considered opinion in this matter.
