I do. The Senator is a dog with a bone about the letter - it is what he wants. He wants to share a copy of the letter with Andrew and ask him if he is confirmed if he will work to get the letter completed. Alternatively, he wants to ask if he were confirmed and became Acting Administrator, if he'd sign it.
These are things that Andrew may not be abie to do given the circumstances, but ! needed to let you know, and I wanted to make sure he had that context.
I think the Senator is troubled that the letter which would have ied to one fewer vote and a time agreement wasn't forthcoming, and that the debate on Andrew's nomination wiil be very hot and loaded with commentary about the current Administrator.
