Papageorge CC New "Inadvertent Generation" Rule This week the EPA Administrator signed the new "Inadvertent Generation" rule regulating PCBs produced incidentally during manufacturing of other chemicals. The new rule, which essentially follows the consensus rule proposed by industry and environmentalists, becomes effective October 1, 1984. Spill/Clean-Up Rule Industry and environmentalists met in Washington to discuss the possibility of developing a consensus spill/clean-up rule for proposal to EPA similar to the inadvertent generation rule.
