Kehoe Kettering Laboratories Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Dr. Kehoe: Re; Mrs. v * Employers Reinsurance Corporation (Shell _____Petroleum Corporation, Employer). I have been remiss since my telegram to you of October 18th referring to the above case in failing to write you with regard thereto. As stated in that telegram the case is now set for trial on January 31st. That is Monday and it appears very likely indeed that the case, if not the first up for trial that day, will almost certainly be the second. Since my letters to you the court has sus tained a plea in abatement filed by us as to her claims for recovery on account of the death of M r . ^ H ^ from heat stroke, and it now appears that the case wllT go to trial with the sole cause alleged for the death of M r . ^ ^ k as acute lead poisoning. Tour testimony, therefore, will be doubly important. In one of our conversations you told me that you had some literaturewhich I might read on the subject of lead poisoning from handling leaded gasoline and if this is now available, I would appreciate it very much if you would forward it to me here. Will you also be kind enough to advise me as to whether or not it will be convenient for you to be here on January 31st and if so the expected date of your arriv al? If it would be possible for you to arrive sometime on Sunday, we might talk about the case a little because I am sure that your advice would be very helpful indeed. we are With appreciation of your offer to cooperate, Very truly yours, SHELL PETROLEUM CORPORATION Kb 00036M
