I think you may be interested in knowing that before I reported to uur hospital chemist, Miss Terry, your findings in this case, she reported to me that two 24-hour specimens 1700 cc. and 1750 cc. in amount were .070 and .072 respectively as to lead content. These give values of 1041 mg. per liter which compare very well ' with your .035 mg. of lead per liter. Also much to my surprise she reported that. 52.282 grams of whole blood contained .0133 mg. .. of lead or .026 mg. of lead per 100 grams of blood. Phis also ' compared favorably with your -finding of .02 by the dithizone and ,035 by the spectrographic method. This is more noteworthy in that in her determinations of blood and urine have all been by the chromate method. This confirms my impression that she is a very careful chemist. .
