The original of this letter is 16101" sent to Boston for the Contract File. You will note that the next to the last paragraph on Page 2 of Ethyl's letter refers to work dene prior to the date thereof which is intended to cover work we have done since we received their verial authorization to proceed with the design and construction, which was about August 9 when Ethyl asked that Mr, Casselsan go to baton Rouge to finalise the basis of design for this job, I believe Mr. Cassclman arrived in baton Rouge. Monday, august 12. so that any charges froa the date of their verbal authorization would cooe under the design and construction work. This ease paragraph of their letter of September 16 does not refer to the report we made on this job under J. G. 7810, which was done on the basis of Part 1 cf our Ter* Contract at per ale* rates and will now be billed with the rates adjusted to two*thirds per dies in accordance with the Term Contract, Also attached is copy of Mr. Yaeger's aenoraadu* of Septenter 11 to their Mr. Griffiths explaining that the work under J. 0. 7810 has now been ooapleted and will be billed on the two*thirds basis.
