On Saturday, May 17, special dust counts were taken in the Carding and Twisting Departments. Selected areas were sampled before and after correction for comparison of results. Hie results of the sampling areas as listed in G. L. Swallow's schedule of May 5, 1969, are as follows:

All samples were taken by the Membrane Filter Technique. The J-M accepted standard by this method is 6 fib/cc.
Aisle samples 3a and 3b were station samples while the remaining tests were personal samples. The Card Room Stocker tests were obtained only during the actual feeding process. Twisting by the wet process showed a marked decrease in the visible du6t concentration around the twisting frames.
