August 26, 1936 which purports to be a report of Dr. Thomas E. Lowe to Mr. 0. W. Mercer, attorney for the plaintiff in the ; case of Mrs. v * SmP 1yers Reinsurance corporation, concerning which we have just talked. I think it will give you a pretty fair history of this claim.v There is not time to comment, as I am attempting to get this letter on the next airmail, except to say that accord ing to the testimony of Mr. fellow workmen he had not been at any time prior to his illness subjected to any un usual quantities of gasoline either by the soaking of his clothes or otherwise. As stated to you in my letter, I will attempt to see what can be done with our docket, with a view to getting the case set for a definite date and will advise you promptly as soon as I know more on that subject. In the meantime, should you care to make any comments on the report which Is enclosed, I would be very glad to have them either by tele phone or by airmail as you think most suitable* Mr. ^ H f t w a s also seen by a Dr. Scott whose state ment is also enclosed herewith.
